Community

The part where people help each other figure it out.

Not every question is worth a whole collaboration. UrbanTrust has a space inside the app for asking, answering, and finding people whose thinking you trust.

What it is

A question here is more than a message into the void. It carries the detail behind it and the skills it relates to, so it surfaces for people who work in that area rather than everyone at once.

Answers are attributed to real profiles: the same profile you would evaluate before starting a collaboration with someone. That is the point: being genuinely useful in public is visible, and it counts.

Ask, and tag the skills it touches

A question carries a title, the detail behind it, and the skills it relates to, which is how it reaches people who actually work in that area.

Answer where you have real experience

Answers sit under your profile, not an anonymous handle. Being useful in public is part of how a professional reputation gets built.

Mark what actually helped

Helpful marks point the next person with the same problem at the answer that worked, rather than the one posted first.

Save and follow

Keep a question you want to return to, and hear about it when new answers arrive.

Why it sits next to the collaborations

A good answer is often how a collaboration starts. The person who explains the hard part clearly is frequently the person you want on the team, and their Trust Profile is right there when you decide whether to ask.

Keeping it useful

  • Ask specific questions. "How should I price a revenue-share collaboration?" gets a better answer than "any advice?".
  • Answer what was actually asked, and say when you are guessing.
  • Disagree with the idea, not the person.
  • No recruiting spam in question threads. If you are looking for people, start a collaboration instead.
  • Report anything that crosses a line rather than arguing with it.

Community lives in the app.

Questions and answers stay attached to real profiles, so taking part needs an account. Get the app to join in:
